Minimalism

What I found compelling about this photo was the distinct contrast in colors. I find the lack of blend and the harsh lines to be compellingly simple and minimalist. Also the little electric socket or whatever it is really makes it simple with it's little contrast from the yellow.

Generally when I think of minimalism, I think of white and lack of substance. I think this picture does a swell job at expressing both of those. Minimalism to me is just very simplified and the bare minimum, but yet still highly aesthetically pleasing.

Even though I think white and minimalism go hand and hand, I can't help but stop and love the yellow. I think the strong presence of the yellow and the presence of the sad lights balance each other out. What really makes it minimal to me though it the all yellow and then just that little pop of gray.
